This march is organized to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the 5th team of the Vytis District of the National Defense Volunteer Forces of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and the 20th anniversary of the first march “Radvilų keliais”.
The aims of the march are:
- to promote and develop cooperation between the Lithuanian Armed forces, the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union and civil authorities, public organizations, educational institutions, and rural communities;
- to get acquainted with the history of the Biržai Duchy of the dukes Radziwiłłs, to remember and commemorate those who died for the freedom of Lithuania;
- to nurture the historical and cultural traditions of the Nation, to develop patriotism, citizenship, loyalty to the state;
- to ensure a healthy and meaningful leisure time and to create conditions for the participants of the hike to test their physical and psychological preparation.
