In 1979, I entered the Šiauliai Pedagogical Institute. After completing three courses, I voluntarily joined the army; I had to serve in Riga, in a car repair factory, where I worked as an artist. In 1989–1991, I continued my interrupted studies at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in a part-time manner and graduated by obtaining the qualification of an artist pedagogue. From the same year until now, I have been working as a teacher at Biržai Vladas Jakubėnas Music School.

I learned to paint independently. I started participating in exhibitions 40 years ago in Biržai, at the former „Širvėna“ cinema together with the Folk Art Society. In 2000, I joined the Lithuanian Artists‘ Union and received the status of an artist.

I have organized my personal exhibitions in Biržai, Vilnius, Kaunas, Šiauliai, Jelgava, Panevėžys, Anykščiai and elsewhere. In recent years, I have organized several virtual exhibitions on the platform „Not Cancelled Openings“ and on the website of the Lithuanian Artists‘ Union. There are landscapes, thematic compositions and some still lifes with lilacs in this exhibition. I enjoy depicting the time of twilight which is so expressive in our latitude.
