Since 18 May 1978, the International Museum Day is celebrated around the world. For many years, the Biržai Region Museum “Sėla” participating in the international campaign “Museum Night”, has invited visitors to participate in numerous non-traditional activities, concerts and educational lessons. This year, we are going to invite the residents of Biržai and the guests of the town to visit the museum at night on 6 July 2021. By then – we hope – the pandemic situation will improve and the museum will be able to accept its visitors for the Museum Night.
On the International Museum Day – 15 May (Saturday) – we offer you another attraction. Contributing to the opening events of tourism season in Biržai, we invite you to the “History of One Thing” at the museum.
Every museum visitor, who comes to us on 15 May from 10 am to 6.30 am and buys a ticket (there are also family tickets), will be able not only to explore the exhibition on her/his own, but to hear stories of interesting, mysterious or strange items of the exhibition.
