Gregorian chant masterclasses

2020 - 07 - 30

Gregorian chants are monophonic, medieval Catholic sacred songs in Latin. Monks used to write these chants by hand on parchment from the 9th century. Gregorian chants are written in neumes on 4 lines. For ages, this treasure of medieval culture has fascinated and still fascinates composers, so they use Gregorian chant melodies or consonances in
their works.
