The villanelles from the 17th century
Rūta Vosyliutė (mezzo-soprano)
Ieva Baublytė (transverse flutes, gothic harp)
Saulius Lipčius (liuto forte, baroque guitar)
Vilimas Norkūnas (basso continuo, harpsichord)
Love and human emotions such as nostalgia, joy, sadness, anger and forgiveness are at the heart of the poetic texts of villanelles. Rūta Vosyliūtė and the early music ensemble “Chiaroscuro” invite listeners to enjoy the beauty of Neapolitan and Italian songs, the villanelles, created by different composers in the 16th–17th centuries.
The concert is free.
